Are We There Yet?

As I was typing a post to my other blog today I typed the phrase, "Are we there yet?" Now my other blog is on the subject of family travel so it was quite appropriate there, but what does it have to do with pursuing goals?

How will we know when we are "there"? And where is "there" anyway? In my last post I talked about vision. And vision is the answer to both of those questions.

Having a vision for your life will point you in the right direction. It will help you to know where you are going. It will help you to know if you are on the right path or whether you took a detour somewhere.

Where do you want to be in ten years? Okay, maybe that's a bit overwhelming for some of you, but if you really are serious about being aggressive in pursuing success then you need to examine your life. Continually doing what you are doing now will only advance you a little bit (or maybe not at all.)

If you are like me, you don't want to be the same person you are now ten years from now. You want to be stronger, wealthier, healthier, wiser. And you won't get there without vision.

So today do something tough. Examine yourself. Then answer the questions:

  • Are you "there" yet?

  • and

  • Where is there, anyway?
